NOON MATCHA at Riga Food 2026: First-Harvest Japanese Matcha and Latvian Ceramics
NOON MATCHA invites visitors to Riga Food 2026 to discover premium first-harvest matcha from two renowned Japanese tea regions – Kagoshima and Uji, Kyoto. Visitors will have the opportunity to taste two matchas with distinctly different profiles, as well as discover handcrafted Latvian ceramics and specialised accessories for preparing matcha.
At the NOON MATCHA stand, visitors will be able to taste and compare two first-harvest Japanese matchas that differ in both origin and cultivar composition.
- 022 matcha is grown in the Kagoshima region and crafted as a blend of six Japanese tea cultivars – Yutakamidori, Saemidori, Yabukita, Asanoka, Kanayamidori and Okumidori. The matcha is freshly stone-ground.
- 104 matcha comes from Uji, Kyoto – one of Japan’s historically significant tea-growing regions. It is a single-cultivar, first-harvest Okumidori matcha, also freshly stone-ground.
NOON MATCHA is about more than tea itself. The brand places equal emphasis on the experience and ritual of preparing and enjoying matcha. At the exhibition, visitors will be able to discover and purchase a ceramic set for preparing and serving matcha, created in collaboration with Latvian ceramics studio Iezis, alongside traditional matcha accessories – a bamboo whisk (chasen), bamboo scoop (chashaku) and matcha sifter.
Matcha preparation masterclass – from proper measuring and sifting to whisking with a traditional chasen. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience the preparation process first-hand and discover how it helps reveal the flavour and texture of high-quality Japanese matcha.
