Head of the Technological Centre of Latvia
The Technological Centre of Latvia has been a partner of the BT 1 International Exhibition Company for a long time. For more than 21 years, we have been bringing the ‘Inovācija pārtikai’ (‘Innovation for food’) exhibition to Riga Food.
We and our partners—innovative companies, research institutions and universities—were pleased to participate in such an interesting, professionally organised event for food industry professionals and the general public.
Participation in Riga Food is an excellent starting point, an opportunity for innovative, creative, and enterprising businesses to get noticed on the domestic market and internationally. For many innovative companies in the food industry, Riga Food becomes the first international fair, and the experience they gain is vital in their further growth and in the development of their products.
We are very grateful to Rolands Nežborts and his great team for their work. We are looking forward to more successful cooperation in the future!
Executive director of the Latvian Bakers Association.
Despite the difficult situation in the world and in our country, Riga Food 2022 was full of activity for bakeries, with a great impetus to continue what they had started as part of their production. The bread competition ‘Ēdiens kā zāles’ (‘Food as medicine’) was held at the fair after a three-year break, organised by the Latvian Bakers Association in conjunction with the BT 1 International Exhibition Company, and Latvia’s leading dietitians and nutritionists, with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture and the company Gemoss. The competition attracted much interest from manufacturers, as nine companies joined, offering 20 samples of bread, which were evaluated with a focus on the high nutritional value and excellent taste of these products, which received gold and silver diplomas.
It is only at a fair like this, which is the most important food industry event of the year, where companies can build visibility, and meet colleagues, partners, and consumers. The fair’s three days passed unnoticed at the bakery exhibition of the Latvian national booth, as the participating companies enjoyed the interest and words of praise of the audience.
The Latvian Bakers Association would like to thank its long-standing partner BT 1, and personally, manager Viesturs Tīle, and all of the staff of the Exhibition Centre for their positive attitude, understanding, and support, which made Riga Food such a great success for the bakeries.
National booth project manager for Institute of Agricultural Resources and Economics.
We would like to express our thanks to the organisers of Riga Food for their endurance and ability to adapt to various situations and schedules, at a time that was not easy for people, or Latvia’s and the world’s economy. Riga Food is small in scale, compared to other major European international food fairs. However, it has found and is growing its own niche as a place for high-quality talent competitions in the catering and service sectors, which is helping the fair become an important player in Europe, while popularising the flavours of Latvia among global food experts. The Institute of Agricultural Resources and Economics national booth project thanks BT 1 for the long and productive cooperation in setting up Latvia’s national booth and helping build the export capacity of many Latvian food manufacturers.
Reaton Food Department Marketing Division manager in the Baltics
The Riga Food international food industry fair is a great place to meet industry professionals, and to discuss news and plans for the future. For us, Riga Food is very important in continuing our tradition of supporting an important event of Latvian culinary art: the professional competition Latvian Chef of the Year, whose winner got the Reaton golden ladle.
Head of Sotukai (Lithuania)
The Riga fair was excellent! Riga Food 2022 offered a friendly mood and a diverse audience. We met many interesting companies and found new business contacts. Many, like us, were from Lithuania. We had three days of exciting conversations, and got a lot of positive feedback about our products.
Manager of Davr Metall (Uzbekistan)
Riga Food 2022 went wonderfully and—most importantly—productively. Everything that we’d planned went well. On behalf of our company, I would like to thank the fair’s organisers. Our trip from Uzbekistan was well worth it! Thank you!
