At Riga Food 2026 there will be a contest for most sustainable packaging! You can still apply!

To encourage entrepreneurs to increasingly focus on sustainable packaging solutions, the Packaging Association of Latvia in cooperation with the International Exhibition Company BT 1 at the “Riga Food 2026” exhibition continues the tradition and organizes the competition the ““Riga Food 2026” Sustainable Packaging”.

The aim of the competition is to promote the development of sustainable packaging, emphasize the importance of sustainable packaging in preserving the environment, and evaluate trends in the packaging of products offered by companies in terms of sustainable packaging.

Participants of the exhibition "Riga Food 2026" can take part in the competition by submitting no more than 2 (two) different works – packaging that stands out with a sustainable solution.

Application and submission of competition entries
Participation in the competition is free of charge. Applicants declare their participation in the competition by filling out the application form by September 7, 2026. Competition participants can submit two different packaging (each in 2 copies) for evaluation on the first day of “Riga Food 2026” – until September 10, 2026 at 13:00 at the stand of the Packaging Association of Latvia (Hall No. 1, stand No. H19).

During the “Riga Food 2026” exhibition, a professional jury will evaluate the packaging solutions submitted by companies, select three winners from among the exhibition participants, and on 12 September at 3:00 PM on the Main Stage, award the most sustainable packaging solutions.
