Kartuli Marani was founded in 2015. The main idea of the company was to create something exceptionally good, that would raise the bar within the wine industry and create high standards for other wine makers. To that purpose, a group of well-experienced individuals came together to establish a new company and wine called Kartuli Marani.
Company Kartuli Marani (translated as Georgian wine cellar) is a relatively new, revolutionary company, established to rediscover rare Georgian grape varieties and create unique Georgian wines. Company thrives to become one of the main influencers in Georgian wine industry and raise awareness of Georgian wine all over the world.
Nowadays Kartuli Marani owns about 100 hectares of vineyards in total. The grape varieties include Sapeeravi, Rkatsiteli, Kakhuri Mtsvane and Kisi, as well as 26 unique, old Georgian grape varieties that are very rare up to date. The company runs one winery and one Qvevri wine cellar that allow it to produce around two million bottles annually. Kartuli Marani produces 20 different types of wine from the local grape varieties, as well as 2 types of Chacha and 3 types of fine Brandy.
