The Latvian Rural Advisory and Training Centre (LLKC) invites visitors to discover modern fishing practices and sustainable management of Latvia’s water resources together with “Makšķerēšanas karte” (Fishing Card).
Explore LLKC-developed tools for sustainable fishing, crayfishing, and spearfishing. Learn about the new marine catch registration tool and the “Lielais jūras sešinieks” (Big Sea Six). Take part in the activity “Pazīsti savu lomu?” (Do You Know Your Catch?), receive useful souvenirs, and discover the “Mana Cope” (My Fishing) app – a smart assistant always available in your pocket.
At Outdoor Riga 2026, every angler is invited to become a guardian of nature. At the “Makšķerēšanas karte” (Fishing Card) stand, visitors will learn about the latest updates, including marine catch registration, and why the “Lielais sešinieks” (Big Six – eel, cod, salmon, herring, sprat, flounder) has become a priority for scientists. LLKC representatives will demonstrate how to easily use the Makskeresanaskarte.lv platform to register catches in just a few seconds and will provide professional consultations on fishing regulations and sustainability in Latvia.
Visitors will also learn how to use the “Mana Cope” (My Fishing) platform to quickly access up-to-date fishing regulations, conveniently purchase fishing permits for licensed waters in Latvia, and, with Mana Cope Premium, access a smart restriction assistant within an interactive map for an even better fishing experience.
“Makšķerēšanas karte” (Fishing Card) ensures transparent management of fishing rights in Latvia. LLKC’s priority is the sustainability of fish resources, ensuring rich catches for future generations. The centre combines science with modern digital tools, making fishing more convenient and responsible.
