LEADING TRADE FAIR ORGANISER IN THE BALTIC STATES

Baltic Beauty Awards 2026 Innovation and Excellence Award winners to be announced at the fair

Baltic Beauty Awards 2026 Innovation and Excellence Award ceremony celebrating winners will take place in scope of the international beauty industry trade fair Baltic Beauty on 6 November. The aim of the competition is to recognise the most innovative, quality and sustainable beauty products and companies that develop advanced cosmetic formulas or launch new technologies on the Baltic market.

Ceremony will take place after Baltic Beauty 2026 opening ceremony on the Main Stage at 12:15 in Hall 2.

23 products across 3 nominations have been selected for the final round in 2026: “Most innovative skincare formula”, “Most innovative haircare formula” and “Baltic brand innovation”. The total of 15 products will be awarded either gold, silver or bronze.

Professional and independent expert judges
Products submitted for the competition were evaluated for almost two months by professional jury that consisted of 18 beauty industry experts from Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia. Among them were chemists, developers of cosmetic formulas and experienced industry professionals. Each judge completed jury duties in isolation. The maximum score that could have been awarded to the product by single judge was 170 points. This ensured that products are evaluated scrupulously and with high professional integrity.
Judges were tasked with evaluating the following key product characteristics: product market relevance, degree of innovation, quality of ingredients and synergy of active ingredients, user convenience, sensory qualities, potency, safety and also the functionality/sustainability of packaging.
Mg Alla Selina, chair of the jury, is a master of chemistry and biology, certified hygienist and qualified European Union cosmetic safety assessor. She is also the founder of “GE&AL Neatkarīgais ekspertīzes birojs” (GE&L Independent Expert Agency), outsourced technical expert of the Latvian National Accreditation Bureau and also member of several European cosmetic industry associations.

Key innovation trends
Skincare product category is heavily driven by biotechnologies this year: exosome technologies, PDRN or Polydeoxyribonucleotides, biomimetic peptides and multifunctional active ingredient blends. On the other hand, there is a growing demand for sustainable formulas, natural ingredients and environmentally-friendly manufacturing technologies.
Haircare category is dominated by products of two kinds – products that prevent hair loss and products that repair damaged hair structure. Innovative formulas are intended to make scalp skin healthier, support hair follicles, strengthen hair strands and restore their flexibility.
Baltic brand innovation is the core part of the competition as it celebrates products invented and made in Latvia, Lithuania or Estonia. Experts have strongly praised the innovative formulas, technologies and international market potential of local (Baltic) producers.

Finalist display and people’s choice
All 23 finalists of the competition will be displayed at the Baltic Beauty 2026 Innovation stand located in the Lobby of the Expo Centre. Visitors of the trade fair will also be able to find information about the location of these products at particular stands there, as well, if they wish to buy them.
In addition to jury winners, visitors will also have a chance to cast their votes for favourite products. If you want to take part in voting, pick your favourite and got to the official Instagram account of the fair @balticbeautyawards and click Like under your chosen product.
