An upcoming festival designed for children and parents, featuring the sole trade fair of children's products and services in the Baltics, Kids Expo Riga, is set to take place on March 7 and 8, 2026, at Ķīpsala. Kids Expo Riga is an ongoing event focused on children, offering concerts, performances, attractions, and educational games, while providing adults with valuable expert advice and advantageous purchases. There will also be plenty of fun activities for everyone to enjoy together!

Agenda
Kids Expo Riga 2026 trade fair will offer designated rooms for consultations about health and wellbeing of mothers and children. To receive a free advice from excellent experts, future, young mums and parents of small children will have to make an appointment in advance.

Postpartum fitness for women’s health
Lectures moderated by Madara Valberga-Porozova, physical therapy coach of Capital Clinic Riga. Madara has excelled in physical therapy for women after before and after childbirth. If you have posture, gastrointestinal wall or diastasis issues after delivery of C-section, suffer from musculoskeletal pain or postpartum discomfort in the back area, legs, hands, or pain in the back area, shoulder, loin, symphysis during pregnancy, or just want to start working out after childbirth, this is the right consultation for you.

What happens to the body after birth? How and when to resume exercising after delivery, with diastasis or after C-section? How to overcome urinary incontinence and strengthen pelvic floor? Lectures will provide answers to these and other questions, dispersing myths and offering evidence of how working out will help physical and mental wellbeing of women after childbirth. Maximum capacity: 10 participants.
Stages of infant development at various ages
Lectures moderated by Karlīna Kaire, certified physiotherapist, Capital Clinic Riga Karlīna Kaire specialises in motor skills assessment and facilitation in new-borns and infants based on Bobata therapy. She offers physiotherapy consultations and new-born handling/ergonomic care training, motor skill assessment and customised environment/exercise plans, exercise for children/adolescents for better posture, gait analysis and exercise plans (ergonomic work/learning space tips).

Lectures will reveal how babies develop at various ages and offer tips on what parents should take into account to make sure baby develops according to age standards. How to start baby fitness the right way and avoid any unwanted harm to child’s health. Maximum capacity: 10 participants.

Healthy shape of head in babies
Specialist: Milda Saklauskaite (Lithuania). For the past seven years, Milda Saklauskaite has been helping parents understand and deal with positional head deformities in children. Founder of HE Vector, official distributor of Mimos pillows (for prevention and correction) in Lithuania and Latvia.

Early months are crucial for healthy and symmetrical development of baby’s head, and even a small correction can significantly change the infant’s head shape. Milda Saklauskaite will offer tips on how to safely and correctly measure infant’s head using craniometer to assess whether infant’s head is shaping normally or a correction is required. Practitioner will offer practical advice on prevention and care, including best sleeping and play positions that will ensure healthy development of baby’s head. Measurements using craniometer are performed on babies until the age of 16 months. 25-minute sessions will be in English.

Specialists: Audiologists Madara Fūrmane and Elizabete Prodaņuka. Speech, language and communication disorders, autism spectrum disorders, reading and writing problems. Audiologists represent a team of speech therapists and audio speech therapists operating out of cozy, child-friendly practice in the Riga centre and Āgenskalns. Crisis intervention services for schools, workshops and lectures for adult groups like teachers, parents, etc.

Specialist: Inga Babure, certified doula with more than 10 years of experience in the field.

Lecture and consultations will be provided by Estere Paula Priedīte, certified nutritionist of Capital Clinic Riga. Consultations about nutrition, evidence-based personalised nutrition plans, menu customised according to recommended ways to boost health and well-being. If you need a specialist to assess your eating habits and suggest the most appropriate patterns, adjust body mass, adapt nutrition to allergies, food intolerance, chronic health conditions and age, also including pregnancy.

Specialist: Santa Vula, certified prenatal and postpartum fitness coach with 16-year experience and creator of BORN postnatal exercise home programme. Programme helps women improve their postpartum life quality by gently easing back into exercising and spending only 15 minutes a day to stay fit.

Consultation will focus on ways to return to slim waist after the baby, baby handling techniques to prevent awkward body positions and back pressure, strengthen pelvic floor muscles, enjoy life more after the childbirth.

Individual consultations will be offered by Sanita Drone who is pre-school teacher and certified private tutor with over 16-year long experience in the field. Sessions are personalised, based on child’s specific characteristics, needs and pre-existing skills. Support for learning Latvian for children and adults. How to get ready for childbirth?
Specialist, moderator of group sessions: Kristīne Reikmane, certified birth doula, awareness coach, aroma therapy practitioner and mother of three. Individual consultations and groups sessions. Doula will listen to mother-to-be and help find answers crucial for preparing for childbirth, reducing pain, creating support team, as well as preparing for the critical and sensitive postpartum period.
