LEADING TRADE FAIR ORGANISER IN THE BALTIC STATES

Habitus Baltija 2015 Certificate goes to Yelena Shabelyanova from Minsk!

The Habitus Baltija project manager attended the prestigious fashion and photography festival-competition Fashion Mill taking place in Minsk, Belarus, this June, and presented a special prize – Habitus Baltija 2015 Participation Certificate – to the emerging fashion designer Yelena Shabelyanova.

"The Fashion Mill Competition Finals presented 70 collections offered by 78 Belarusian fashion designers. Yelena’s collection OAZIS struck by its joyfulness, richness of colours and contrasts. People wearing her costumes will be noticed and remembered for a long time. This designer has a good potential," the Habitus Baltija project manager and one of the competition judges Sanita Blomniece told.

"People are always looking for an opportunity of creative expression. Clothing design is the way I do it! I’ve entered the world of fashion and design not so long ago and intend to work diligently and efficiently to achieve good results in the future. I like bright colours, contrasts, and my works show it. Plans for the future? To improve the knowledge, skills and abilities in the field of fashion, create collections expressing my vision of the world," told Yelena Shabelyanova, a twenty-two years old designer from Minsk whose accomplishments we will see during the Habitus Baltija 2015 Competition for Young Fashion Designers in April next year.

The panel of judges of Fashion Mill also included fashion experts from Azerbaijan, Britain, Poland, Russia, Ukraine, Finland and Lithuania.

Not only finalists, but also guests from London, Moscow, Krakow, Kiev, Baku and other cities of fashion across the world presented exciting fashion shows. Riga was represented by Reinis Ratnieks, a first runner-up of Habitus Baltija 2014 highly appreciated by the French designer Paul Marchand.
