The International Forest Management and Woodworking Exhibition is approaching
The International Forest Management and Woodworking exhibition will take place from 25-27 April in Kipsala for many companies from the Baltic States and abroad to demonstrate their products and services. The visitors of the exhibition will get acquainted with the latest trends of the forest industry, state-of-the-art technologies and the practical use of wood and its products, as well as other novelties of the industry.
The exhibition "Forest and Wood" is a significant event for the forest management industry because it gathers professional foresters, woodworking professionals and experts of other related industries. This exhibition is a place to form new business relationships, receive professional consultations, study the industry and its development in general, examine the choice of its products and services, choose cooperation partners and select specific forest management and woodwork products.
Māris Briedis, the exhibition "Forest and Wood 2014" Project Manager, informs that this time there are many more foreign companies among the exhibition participants. "First time exhibition participants are the company "Kiln-Direct" from the USA that will present wood drying-kilns and the company "Relaskop-Technik" from Austria that will offer forest survey equipment. The Dutch company "Hydraram" who will be presenting wood chippers and the Belarusian wood product exporter "Bellesexport" are also new to the exhibition", says Māris Briedis.
Vast choice of forest management and woodwork products
The exhibition will offer a wide choice of forest industry machinery and equipment, auxiliary devices, wood processing machines and facilities, drying-kilns and accessories, woodchip production and transportation equipment, various surveying instruments, global positioning systems and many other devices.
One of the world’s leading certification companies – "BM Trada Latvija" and "PEFC Latvijas padome" will offer certification services at the exhibition. The local company "AbroPro" will offer arborist services and "Vidzemes Dīzeļu remonta centrs" - equipment repair works. The companies "Sakarnieks" and "Būve Wood Line" will present wooden houses, "UOT" - power harrows, "Hydracom" - forest trailers, "Eduards IKU" - wood production equipment for individual use and bulk manufacture and "Lattrack" - high quality accessories for forest and agricultural machinery. The long-time exhibition participant "Ergo E.B.F" from Saldus will also present wood production equipment. The Estonian company "Puukujurid" has promised a spectacular performance of making different items by using a chainsaw. You have to see that!
Many other forestry and industry-related companies from Belarus, the Netherlands, Estonia, Austria, the USA and other countries are also going to participate at the exhibition.
Activities for students and school children
This year, after a long break, Ogre State Technical College will offer a new exciting programme for the exhibition participants. The College exposition will include various demonstrations of forest management activities and exciting competitions.

Forest machinery demonstrations in Birzgale forest
On 24 April, one day before the exhibition, we invite everyone to visit Birzgale rural municipality to see the demonstrations of forest machinery. You will see machines such as harvesters, forwarders, wood transporters, chip crushers, firewood processors, etc. These demonstrations are free of charge. Three international exhibitions for big and small forest, field and garden works
Besides the exhibition "Forest and Wood 2014" on 25-27 April, the International Exhibition Centre Kipsala will also host two other exhibitions in the other halls and outdoor expositions - "Garden. Flora 2014" for everyone to get acquainted with different garden and floristry products and services and the exhibition of agricultural production and infrastructure "Rigaagro 2014" to see the demonstrations of machinery and receive helpful agricultural solutions.
