From AI agents and industry trends to prevention strategies: Medbaltica 2026 trade fair

AI agents, latest medical technologies, laboratory equipment, innovative materials, medical clothing, medical cosmetics, hygiene and immunity products. These are just some of the focus areas of Medbaltica 2026, coming soon on 24-25 September at the Ķīpsala Expo Centre. Expo will be accompanied by 23 events for professionals, including conferences, workshops and masterclasses for healthcare professionals, along with Open stage lectures and presentations for all visitors.


“Professional events are an essential part of Medbaltica, with 2026 being the biggest year ever for the trade fair. Medbaltica 2026 is a platform that allows healthcare professionals find out about latest developments, meet experts, expand their outlook through conferences and many other professional audience-oriented activities. Knowing the potential of trade fair, 20 professional organisations had responded to an invitation to take part in the designing of the professional event programme,” organisers of Medbaltica claim.

Diverse event programme for professionals
The total of 23 conferences, workshops and masterclasses, organised by altogether 20 professional organisations and associations, will take place over the course of two-day trade fair in Ķīpsala on 24-25 September. This year’s highlight is the 2nd Baltic Congress of Physiotherapy, which will be held at the Ķīpsala Expo Centre for the first time. Congress is organised by the Latvian Physiotherapy Association and Lithuanian, Estonian physiotherapy associations.

Healthcare conferences and workshops for dentists, dental hygienists, dental assistants, gynaecologists, obstetricians, neurologists, pharmacists, ophthalmologists, physical therapy, orthopaedic trauma, rehabilitation doctors, nutritionists, assistant physicians and professionals, managers working in other healthcare segments with expert speeches, experience sharing and discussions on current challenges and solutions.

Conferences will focus on a number of current priorities: how to implement multidisciplinary care model in geriatric care? How to improve patient’s quality of life and offer modern home care? What can civilian medicine learn from combat trauma, blood loss and surgery cases? What are the latest findings and practical approaches to better cardiac health? What are the modern-day implications of chronic fatigue and Fibromyalgia, and what practical tools can help alleviate these conditions? Exhibitors from 13 countries
More than 140 healthcare companies from China, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Pakistan, Romania, Switzerland, Sweden and USA have chosen Ķīpsala as the arena for showcasing their latest dental, surgical, orthopaedic, rehabilitation, ophthalmology and pharmaceutical products and devices. This year Lithuania will bring the biggest business delegation or the total of 21 company. Romania will also be well represented at the trade with, for example, various clinics that provide medical services. Participants of conferences and visitors of trade air will have access to latest products and medical technologies, professional consultations and some of the best deals.

Work efficiency
What are the ways to reduce the workload of a physician or a nurse? How can you streamline administrative processes and paperwork? How can AI agents already help hospitals and other healthcare providers? These and other questions will be answered, including demonstrations, by AI assistant software developer from Sweden, Tandem Health. It automates medical record-keeping from the level of patient consultation and will help process paperwork or find relevant clinical information. Latvian company SmartMedical will also present its latest development, speech recognition assistant (SRA) that helps doctors to focus on conversation instead of recording appointment data in writing, allowing for more attention on the patient. Sorsera is another Latvian company that will showcase AI agents that help service providers make procurements much quicker and smarter by conducting market research and preparing convenient AI-generated proposals. AI will also appear on the Open stage where several lectures for general public will explore the latest AI potential.

Rehabilitation, scar and pain management
Physical therapy provider Concordia LL will bring its Juzo to Ķīpsala. It is a solution for scar, lymphedema and post-surgery management. It can also be used in plastic surgery and rehabilitation treatment. Visitors will be able to receive specialist consultations, learn more about NMES technique and Juzo SoftCompress solutions for treatment of lymphedema (swelling) and scars. Meanwhile, Medita from Lithuania will present professional audience advanced medical technologies for physical therapy, rehabilitation, pain relief and medical aesthetics.

Health prevention and well-being
Medbaltica 2026 will not be focused only on medical technologies and devices. There will be plenty of products for daily health routines, prevention and well-being. Products for oral hygiene, food additives, medical cosmetics, compression and orthopaedic products, and clothing and footwear for healthcare professionals. And you won’t believe the prices! Tonus Elast will showcase latest compression products, including special compression line for men. Spirulina Nord will present locally-made spirulina syrups and juices that contain raw, living spirulina and more than 200 natural nutrients. Healthy sleep
HIPNOS will offer CPAP machines, ventilators, devices for sleep diagnostics and oxygen concentrators for better sleep and respiratory healthcare standards. Whereas German brand Lowenstein Medical will display CPAP machine and ventilators for both settings, home and in-patient.
“Ziedu enerģija” (Flower Power) will highlight the importance of sleep and offer book-opening event for Laura Tidriķe’ s “Guli vesels!” (Sleep well), along with range of organic sleep aids. There will be two book openings for Laura’s book on both days of trade fair at 14:00 on the Open stage, which is open to everyone visiting Medbaltica.

Last days with better life
“Hospiss māja” is a health institution and social enterprise that will promote palliative and hospice care either in home setting or the new day centre in Riga at the fair. There will also be information about special transfer services. Visitors will be able to learn more about support provided by relatives, self-care and grief support groups, and volunteer work. Visitors of Ķīpsala Expo Centre will also have a chance to find out more about latest innovations from Nutridrink medical nutritional supplements: plant-based products, state reimbursement system, special solutions for seniors and cancer patients.
