Discover innovative products with Riga Food 2026 trade fair
During the Riga Food 2026 from 10th to 12th of September, Latvian Hall will put the future of the food industry, such as innovations, technologies and new solutions that have transformed the way food is made and developed, in focus. Discover Food Innovations is the section of this year’s fair where Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies (LULST) will present companies, startups, research institutes, students and tech developers who will share their latest developments and innovations for food production, digitalisation and automation.
Discover Food Innovations is the intersection between future food production know-how, technologies and bold flavour experiments. “Innovation area of Riga Food 2026 is a sort of a testbed for new products and ideas. It helps companies collect feedback from industry professionals and consumers required to bring their product to market maturity much quicker. Innovative products will not only please tastebuds but will also showcase the amazing originality behind them. Visitors will be offered to taste the already popular lyophilized food and unique new products like crab ice-cream,” Sandra Muižniece-Brasava, professor of LULST Food Institute and organiser of Innovation Stand, says.
Limelight will be on sustainable materials, healthy and functional foods, modern production technologies and creative interpretation of traditional products. This year’s innovation area will have technological solutions and unusual food products that will surprise everyone with their genuineness and multifaceted taste qualities.
Innovation area will also have numerous representatives from scientific, research, development, education, food testing and certification institutions. This will allow exhibitors participating in Innovation Stand and visitors get answers to vital questions, resolve various production, distribution, commercialisation, registration and patenting-related issues, as well as sharing experience and building new partnerships.
Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies will also host a discussion on how to create innovative products on the first day of the trade fair, 10 September, at 13:00-14:00, on the Main Stage of the Riga Food 2026 – From an idea to ready product. There will also be an opportunity to taste innovative products.
Registration for Innovation Stand is open until 1 June. More at: www.bt1.lv/rigafood/innovations.php
