Lectures on Infant Development with Physiotherapist Karlīna Kaire from Capital Clinic Riga
On 7 March, at the exhibition Kids Expo Riga 2026, expectant and new parents are invited to register for free lectures on infant development. During the sessions, physiotherapist Karlīna Kaire from Capital Clinic Riga will introduce key stages of infant development from birth up to 18 months of age and share a professional physiotherapist’s perspective on how to guide children towards sports in a safe and healthy way.
Participants will gain a clear understanding of developmental milestones at each age, learn what parents should pay attention to in order to support healthy growth, and discover how to introduce physical activity and sports without compromising a child’s wellbeing. The maximum number of participants in each lecture is 10.
Lecture schedule:
14:00–14:40 – 0–3 months: The newborn or the “fourth trimester” Registration>

Karlīna Kaire is a certified physiotherapist at Capital Clinic Riga, specialising in the assessment and promotion of newborn and infant motor development based on the Bobath therapy approach.
She provides services for a wide range of patient groups, including:
• premature infants; newborn and infant muscle tone imbalance; delayed motor development; birth injuries; genetic conditions in infants and children such as autism spectrum disorders, Down syndrome and spina bifida;
• assessment and personalised exercise programmes for pregnant women and women in the postnatal period;
• posture and gait assessment for adolescents;
• rehabilitation after stroke, heart attack and other neurological conditions.
Patients can receive:
• guidance on newborn handling and ergonomic care principles;
• motor development assessments and tailored environments and exercises;
• posture and gait analysis for children and teenagers, along with personalised exercise programmes and ergonomic study/workplace recommendations.
Consultations are available in Latvian, English and basic conversational Russian.
