Birthday cake, Figaro’s aria and latest beauty industry developments: the vibrant Baltic Beauty 2025 media event
20th anniversary Baltic Beauty media event took place on 22 October in the Hotel Bergs. Its main highlights were the fantastic birthday atmosphere and musical performance of the opera singer Kalvis Kalniņš. It was an inspirational lead-up to the Baltic’s largest beauty industry festival, the Baltic Beauty 2025 trade fair that is almost her and will take place on 31 October – 2 November in Ķīpsala.

According to Kristīne Čerņavska, fair’s director, 20 years of dedication and gradual growth have made Baltic Beauty the leading industry fair in the Baltics and also Scandinavia. Recent revolution in hair cosmetics has lead to introduction of many new technologies and hair treatments that are also covered by the range of products presented by exhibitors and during workshops, Irina Jevsejeva, director of the World of Beautiful Hair, adds.

For the first time ever, most innovative beauty products will receive the trade fair awards. During the media event, Ludmila Stavro–Freiberga, Baltic Beauty Awards 2025 jury chairperson, presented the award finalists. Renāte Reinsone, President of the Latvian Association of Beauticians and Cosmetologists, introduced the Baltic Beauty events organised by the association, such as conference for beauticians and cosmetologists, and discussion “Open conversations about beauty”. Vija Krūmiņa from Latvian Association of Hairdressers and Cosmetologists and experienced barber Raitis Reteris told media and influencers about vast variety of events specifically for hairstylists and barbers.

As per usual, there were also nice creative surprises. The well-known stylist and leader of the UnaStyle Image School Una Bernatoviča, who is also in charge of the professional competition, entertained everyone with spectacular and freaky Halloween Glam look she had created for singer Jenny May.

Whereas opera singer Kalvis Kalniņš gave everyone unforgettable memories with his dazzling performance of Figaro Cavatina from Giacomo Puccini’s Barber Of Seville. Singer’s improvisation and merry interplay with barber Raitis Reteris garnered lots of cheers and clapping. And, of course, there was also the birthday cake.

In addition to that, everyone gathered at the media event also had the opportunity to test beauty innovations that will be showcased during the fair.
