LEADING TRADE FAIR ORGANISER IN THE BALTIC STATES

Planning a trip? Make plans for Balttour 2023, too!

The Balttour travel fair is about to take place once again, after a two-year wait for everyone who enjoys travelling. Tourism news, professional advice, top offers by cruise companies, travel agencies and operators, presentations of new destinations, best destinations in Latvia, and much more! When? 3 to 5 February. Where? Ķīpsala Exhibition Centre. Make plans for it!

For three days in Ķīpsala, travellers will choose, plan, and purchase trips, and industry professionals will network and forge new partnerships. Everyone who loves to travel will come together once again!

‘We are happy that the most important event for Latvia’s travel industry, Balttour, finally comes back in February. It will bring a wide range of participants with many different things to offer to travellers in Latvia and around the world. It is wonderful to see travel companies investing in developing new products and discovering new destinations, meeting the demand of travellers and their strong desire to explore the world. We can’t wait for the opening of Balttour 2023, so that we can introduce our guests to what’s new in travel, and invite them to exciting journeys,’ Ēriks Lingebērziņš, president of the Association of Latvian Travel Agents and Operators (ALTA), said.

More than 160 companies from Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Poland, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Germany, Costa Rica, India, Hungary, Spain, Finland, the Czech Republic, and Indonesia will invite the guests of Balttour 2023 to discover lands near and far. Guests will also get to visit the national booths of Georgia, Slovakia, Ukraine, and Montenegro. Their representatives will welcome everyone, and will be happy to introduce them to the tourist destinations and culture of their countries, telling exciting stories and invite them to visit.

Latvia’s treasures
The travel companies and the Tourism Information Centres of Latgale, Zemgale, Vidzeme, Sēlija, and Kurzeme will present their regions’ top destinations and news at the fair. Hotels, guesthouses, and unconventional accommodations; walking trails and lookout towers, various routes for outdoors recreation, parks, manors, palaces and charming old towns, with stops for gastro tourism, cultural events, and much, much more. As usual, Balttour will also have an artisan market.

Relaxing in the Baltics
The fair never goes without spa offers from Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia. The participants include Latvian hotels—Hotel Jūrmala Spa, Semarah Hotel Management, Baltic Beach Hotel & Spa, and Bellevue Park Hotel Riga—as well as those from the neighbouring countries, such as the Estonian Spa Association, Narva-Joesuu Medical Spa, Egles Sanatorija and others.

Travel sale

Balttour 2023 will host a spring and summer trip sale, with the best offers already being prepared by travel agencies and operators such as Tez Tour, Novatours, Estravel, 1 Travel, AZA tours, Nikos Travel, Alsvets, Atlantic Travel, and others.

Travel industry business event
A face-to-face B2B networking event for local travel companies and foreign tour operators will be held at the fair on 3 February, with the participation of travel industry associations, companies, municipal governments, and the airline airBaltic. The purpose of the business event is to build cooperation and the recognition of Latvia as a tourist destination outside the country.

Tourism Person of the Year
As usual, the ceremony for the Latvian travel industry’s most important award, Tourism Person of the Year, will be held at the fair. The award will go to the industry’s professionals who made a significant contribution to the sustainability of Latvia’s travel industry. The award ceremony will take place on the first day of the fair, 3 February, immediately after its official opening.

The Balttour fair is organised by the Association of Latvian Travel Agents and Operators (ALTA), and managed by the BT 1 international exhibition company.
