Top Makeup Artists Announced at International Beauty Competitions

On 2 November, three international beauty competitions took place during the exhibition Baltic Beauty 2025 — Creative Makeup, Full Fashion Look, and Hollywood Look. Makeup artists, stylists, and hairdressers from Latvia and abroad showcased their professional excellence, creativity, and technical mastery.

In the international makeup artists’ competition Creative Makeup, participants had 60 minutes to create bold, artistic, and highly creative looks using a variety of techniques, textures, and materials. The main challenge was to develop a visually striking and conceptually strong image that would also translate effectively in photographs taken at the workstation.

First place was awarded to Vilda Lukaityte-Bagdone (Lithuania), second place to Marta Ziemele, third place to Zane Ķēniņa, fourth place to Oksana Jonase, and fifth place to Sabīne Kjahjare.

In the international stylists’ competition Full Fashion Look, contestants created a complete fashion image backstage, including hairstyle, makeup, and styling, before finalising the model’s runway-ready look on stage within five minutes. The objective was to present a contemporary image aligned with current seasonal trends.

The competition was won by Nikole Cernavska (Finland), while Agnese Rozniece secured second place and Jeļena Zikina took third place.

Meanwhile, the international makeup and hairstyling competition Hollywood Look brought together both teams — consisting of a hairstylist and makeup artist — and individual professionals who created both hair and makeup themselves. Participants drew inspiration from the aesthetics of classic and contemporary Hollywood, cinematic eras, red carpet events, and fashion shows. Following a model draw, each contestant was tasked with creating a look tailored specifically to their assigned model.

The competition was won by Irina Karbauska. Second place went to Jekaterina Kokina, while third place was shared by Laila Karnupe and Ramona Grunte. Fourth place was awarded to Darja Labuča, and fifth place was shared by Agnija Zariņa and Sanda Rugaine.

International Jury
Participants were evaluated by an international jury comprising Natālija Naida(Germany), Alina Pikarevska(Finland), Jasmiina Valter (Finland), Alena Tofil (USA), Felix Shtein (Israel), as well as Baiba Grīna, Katerina Korss, Kristīne Pelcberga, Artis Štamgūts, and Nikolajs Šelušenkovs.
