Visitors to the trade fair Slp;a 2026 will have the opportunity to learn about the diverse offerings of Ventspils Science Center VIZIUM for families and students, as well as about upcoming events for both adults and children.
VIZIUM offers a wide range of activities for school and preschool children, which can be attended with funding from both the “STEM and Civic Participation” initiative and the “Latvian School Bag” programme. VIZIUM is also happy to visit any educational institution in Latvia.
An essential part of any school excursion is a visit to the interactive exhibition hall, where everyone can step into the role of a football player, shooter, or snowboarder, experience the power of an earthquake, escape from a virtual maze, ride a roller coaster, draw in virtual reality, and much more. VIZIUM also offers science shows that add extra value to a visit to the science centre.
The science centre has also prepared meaningful and engaging activities for the spring break. Six-year-olds and students in Grades 1–4 are invited to the spring IT school “Science Mission,” where children can choose from 29 STEM workshops. By working with robots, VR headsets, Minecraft, Roblox, and other programs, students will explore nature and the environment, waste sorting, and renewable energy.
Meanwhile, children aged 11–15 will have a unique opportunity to take part in an exciting overnight adventure at the science centre. They will become young researchers and help carry out an important mission to save the Core of Knowledge…
Since the opening of the science centre, the exciting summer camp “TehnoEko” has been an integral part of its activities, and it will welcome six-year-olds and students in Grades 1–6 again this coming summer.
VIZIUM has also prepared a special “School 2026” promotional offer for school excursions, which the friendly VIZIUM representatives will be happy to present to teachers at stand A12A.
“Skola 2026” visitors will not only have the opportunity to learn about the latest news from VIZIUM and ask questions of interest, but also to take part in various STEM activities.
Creative workshops will offer participants the chance to make their own badge, create a balancing bird or a robot, as well as decorate a wooden medallion to take home as a souvenir. Meanwhile, the youngest visitors will be able to examine crystals and other objects under a microscope and, using special tools, discover what is hidden beneath the water.
And that’s not all – visitors to the VIZIUM stand will also be invited to participate in small competitions throughout the event, showcasing their enthusiasm and creativity for a chance to win small prizes from the science centre.
