The Ventspils Digital Center will present its wide range of training opportunities for teachers

At stand A12A, Skola 2026 visitors will have the opportunity to meet representatives of the Ventspils Digital Center, who will present the wide range of training opportunities available for improving adults’ digital skills. The Digital Center specializes in the development and delivery of professional training programmes for educators, and teachers are especially welcome to learn how the knowledge gained at the Digital Center can help enhance and diversify the learning process, making it more engaging for students while also making their own work easier.

During the trade fair, teachers will also have the opportunity to take part in a competition for a chance to win one course of their choice.

Trade fair visitors will not only have the opportunity to learn about the wide range of training programmes on offer, but also to take part in various STEM activities.
Creative workshops will give participants the chance to make their own badge, create a balancing bird or a robot, as well as decorate a wooden medallion to take home as a keepsake. Meanwhile, the youngest visitors will be able to explore crystals and other objects under a microscope and, using special tools, discover what is hidden beneath the water.

The Ventspils Digital Center is a municipal institution of the Ventspils State City Council that provides residents, visitors, and entrepreneurs with access to technologies, develops adults’ ICT skills and promotes meaningful use of information and communication technologies, as well as develops and maintains the ICT infrastructure of the Ventspils municipality. The Digital Center also contributes to the development of the shared ICT infrastructure of Latvian municipalities and provides user support. In addition, it ensures the development and implementation of ICT sector strategies and projects.

The Digital Center makes a significant contribution to training both Ventspils residents and people across Latvia in the use of modern technologies, offering opportunities to enhance their knowledge and retrain in order to improve their competitiveness in the labour market.

The Digital Center offers a wide range of training courses suitable for both professional and personal needs. Various hobby courses are also available, along with informative seminars and themed afternoon sessions.

The Digital Center has particularly specialized in professional development for educators, designing tailored training programmes that enable teachers to apply the knowledge gained to deliver the learning process in line with the principles of the Skola2030 programme.
