Little Things with Big Hearts

The charity organisation Steidzīgo bērnu fejas (Fairies for Premature Babies) invites visitors to learn more about its work and support babies who arrive in the world earlier than expected. At the stand, you will be able to discover the Fejas’ handmade creations and, in exchange for a donation, choose a special gift for yourself or someone dear to you.

You will find:
Beloved plush octopuses in a variety of colours.
Knit Your Own Octopus kits containing everything you need to create your own octopus. The kit includes instructions in three languages.
Various handmade creations and heartfelt gifts made by the Fejas.

You will also have the opportunity to talk to the organisation’s representatives, learn more about its work and find out how you can become a volunteer or supporter.

All donations received during the event will help the organisation continue its work and provide support to premature babies and their families.

Steidzīgo bērnu fejas (Fairies for Premature Babies) is a charity organisation that has been supporting premature babies and their families across Latvia since 2022. Volunteer Fejas knit warm clothes, sew cocoons, nests and positioning pillows, and make special cotton octopuses for the smallest babies. All these handmade items are provided free of charge to hospitals across Latvia, helping babies receive the warmth and care they need while reminding their parents that they are not alone on this journey.

The Fejas also provide emotional support to parents, organise meetings and build a community where everyone can find understanding and support.
Every donation, every octopus purchased and every person who joins our circle of Fejas helps us be there for even more families.
