At the start of October, the International Exhibition Centre Ķīpsala hosted two action-packed days of the 14th International Medical Fair Medbaltica 2021, where visitors could get acquainted with the latest trends of the medical industry by attending conferences and exhibitions.
Although several challenges and restrictions arose from the fair being organised in green mode, Medbaltica 2021 was participated by 95 companies from nine countries – Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Denmark, Poland, Romania, Finland, Switzerland, and Sweden. 3444 visitors got to know the latest trends in medicinal technology, products, and materials.
“Every project realised in these difficult and ever-changing circumstances can be celebrated as a small victory, and Medbaltica 2021 is no exception. I’d like to sincerely thank all of our partners, participants, and visitors for their contribution,” Mārtiņš Druvkalns, Head of Medbaltica, points out.
Ķīpsala hosted conferences organised by the Healthcare Employers’ Association, the Latvian Dental Association, the Latvian Dental Hygienists’ Association, and the Pharmacists’ Society of Latvia, as well as two conferences of the Latvian Nurses Association, and a conference of the Latvian Medical Association. For the first time at Medbaltica, a conference was organised by the Latvian Dental Assistants’ Association.
“Considering the emergency situation in the healthcare field and the enormous workload of medical workers, nine out of the 11 previously planned conferences took place in Ķīpsala this year. This shows the desire of medics to educate themselves and keep their finger on the pulse of the industry’s trends. A huge thank you to all of the medical workers for the important, meaningful, and essential work you do for us every day! We appreciate everyone who found time to visit the fair and the conferences,” Kristīne Čerņavska, Head of the Conference Programme, acknowledges.
Celebrating its 15th anniversary, the Medbaltica 2022 fair will take place over a span of three days – from 1 to 3 December 2022 – at the International Exhibition Centre Ķīpsala. It promises to be special, as it will take place at the same time as the quadrennium’s most important event of the medical industry – the Latvian Congress of Physicians organised by the Latvian Medical Association. The congress usually brings together a large number of medics and professional associations from Latvia and elsewhere.
Medbaltica is organised by the International Exhibition Company BT 1.
