Hairstyling chemistry
This is a unique workshop that provides professionals both theory and practical knowledge that is required to achieve a deeper understanding of the complex interaction between hair and chemical products. Participants are offered to learn modern approaches to using hair modifying products, as well as analysis of methods and components that will give the desired colouring and treatment results. Discover the secret chemistry of hairstyling in seemingly easy manner that will help you deal with complicated aspects of hairstyling and take the right decisions despite complicated circumstances. Reversible and irreversible denaturation of proteins. Hair modifying products. Acid rinse: content and effect. Active substances in hair bleach: what you need to know before choosing a bleach. Bleach additives, conditioners, permanent colours (protein, magnesium sulphate, disodium salt, glycose, collagen, elastin, polyquaternium, glycerine): where and how to apply them. Oxidant content, hairstyling applications of oxidants. Chelating shampoo. Purifying washing products. Rules for using permanent and semi-permanent dyes for hair toning. Chemistry of pigments.
