Furniture nursery “Meža Dizaina Dārzs”
At the “Garden and Lifestyle 2026” exhibition, SIA “Forest Designed” will present the first furniture grown in Northern Europe.
Visitors will have the opportunity to discover tree shaping, the cultivation of furniture and living sculptures, and learn more about “Meža Dizaina Dārzs” – the only tree shaping garden in Northern Europe where this process can be observed in nature.
The exhibition will also offer perennial living garden decorations – woven willow plants – as well as a special design product: “Forest Jewelry” earrings made from naturally found tree branches from Latvian forests.
This year, the first furniture harvest has been achieved at “Meža Dizaina Dārzs,” including the first two completed objects: a floor lamp and a chair. These unique pieces are not for sale, but new creations are already growing in the garden and will be presented to visitors.
Woven plants are perennial cylindrical willow structures in pots designed for transplanting into gardens as decorative and design elements. They are made from industrial willow varieties that do not spread root shoots, making them suitable for flower beds, terraces, and landscape design.
“Forest Jewelry” earrings are handcrafted from carefully selected branches, with each pair being one of a kind.
“Forest Designed” grows:
