CEM will present green car uptake support programmes

During the Baltic Motor Show Riga Auto 2026, from 24th to 26th of April, Climate and Energy Ministry (CEM) will introduce Riga Auto 2026 visitors to various EV uptake programmes, support criteria and the amount of support depending on the type of car.

Significant consumer demand and outcomes of previous programmes have pushed CEM to come up with new programme supporting the uptake of green cars by the consumers. The new programme will support purchase of electric vehicles, plug-in hybrids (with outdoor charging) and also hydrogen cars.

The latest support programme will also have several other new features, such as those who have been registered as members of big families (families with 3 or more children) will also be offered additional bonus of 1 000 euro for every next child.
