Auto 2020 Special Edition to welcome visitors with magnificent show!

The Special Edition of the International Motor Show Auto 2020 is to take place at Ķīpsala International Exhibition Centre at the end of this month, September 25-27. If the Auto show usually introduced the beginning of season for motoring enthusiasts in spring, pandemic brought the entire world to a halt this year. However, the public interest in cars and related events has not decreased, and the Auto 2020 Special Edition is going to delight visitors with beautifully rebuilt cars, classical vehicles, the latest car models, commercial vehicles, as well as with equipment, tools and accessories for maintenance.

Visitors are most interested in unique, unusual and original rebuilt cars and the Auto 2020 Special Edition will hold the Auto Exotica Award 2020 in a total of 11 nominations - from the most beautiful classic and restored cars to the most beautiful airbrush and the most interesting self-built car, e.g. the Zaporozhets lowrider tuning in Latvia.

In addition, the CC Nation movement, which has gained widespread popularity among auto enthusiasts with events organised during the summer season, will join the Auto 2020 Special Edition. The most original vehicles of this association will take up an exhibition space of 300 square metres, as well as its members will take part in the evaluation of the Auto Exotica Award 2020 competition entries.

There will also be an exhibition of new car models featuring Audi, Dodge (RAM), Fiat, Jeep, SEAT, Subaru, Volkswagen and other car brands. Commercial vehicles will be represented by Iveco, Otokar, MAN Truck presenting the new TGE van, Fiat Professional and VW.

The portal, which represents the well-known British edition “WhatCar?” in Latvia, will showcase the winners of the “What Car? Car of the Year 2020” competition – BMW Series 3, Ford Puma, Škoda Scala and Superb Combi, Peugeot 5008, Toyota Corolla, Kia picante and others. This is the place to see the Porsche 911 GT3 RS (991.2) of the latest generation, which is designed to develop 500 HP on racetracks and is the third serial vehicle of the brand that lapped the legendary Nurburgring track in less than seven minutes.

The Auto 2020 Special Edition is a family-friendly event offering various competitions and activities for children, for instance, try out a virtual reality racing simulator offered by VR Gaming Latvia. There will also be an opportunity to watch professional cycling shows – velo trial, BMX Freestyle and BMX Flatland, and to enjoy performances at the PartyBus stage.

On the other hand, those who are already preparing for the next motoring season will be able to meet professionals in the Auto mechanics 2020 section offering car cosmetics, tires, discs, hitch hooks, roof racks, alarm systems, tools and service equipment, spare parts, everything to increase engine power, variety of car wraps and the best rust prevention products.
