After showcasing a diverse range of building and home repair products, Māja 2026 has closed with strong results
Ķīpsala became the construction industry epicentre in late March as the largest Baltic industry trade fair Māja 2026 took place, attracting large masses of professional and non-professional visitors. Four-day trade fair was visited by everyone who is building, repairing or upgrading a home.
320 companies from 9 countries (Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, the United States, Denmark, Greece, Poland, Spain and Germany) chose Māja 2026 as the platform for advertising their diverse range of products. Trade fair occupied both exhibition halls and also had extensive outdoor area. 25 296 visitors attended the fair to make their current or planned project a success.
Diverse offer
Māja 2026 offered everything a project owner, architect, developer and builder could look for. There were foods for the whole construction cycle. From construction, finishing materials and roof covers to heating and ventilation systems, plumbing, electricity, gates and fences. Visitors were also offered contemporary interior design items, saunas and outdoor amenities.
Professional advice and efficient tools
Visitors attending this year’s trade fair could benefit from full cycle approach reflected in the products displayed by exhibitors. They were also keen to directly meet with producers and seek professional advice on the best solutions for all stages of construction or home improvement. Visitors also showed great interest in professional equipment, tools and gear. Diverse range of these items enabled visitors choose the most efficient and suitable options for homes and commercial buildings.
Growing number of prefabricated houses
One of trade fair’s highlights was the constantly growing number of prefabricated options. Visitors were able to see and even walk around some of the modular, wooden frame and panel houses. Experts provided in-depth insights about the layout of houses and construction process, as well as offering special fair discounts.
Smart home security and energy efficiency solutions
Cost reduction through energy savings was another issue of interest. Innovative heat pumps, insulation materials and solar panels were some of the focus areas. Luminor offered visitors of its booth advice on how to make home purchase financially sound through housing support programmes, while ERGO insurance experts consulted on property protection. Energy efficiency quarter was the place where to receive advice on construction, reconstruction of homes and co-financing available in Riga.
Insightful events
Extensive exposition was accompanied by workshops about housing market trends, residential property management, energy efficiency gains and building renovation. On 26-27 March, visitors were able to learn more about these topics. Direct discussion between government institutions, banking sector and inhabitants lead to immediate practical solutions for issues that concern society as a whole. And, on 29 March, meeting with racing driver Mārtiņš Sesks at the CEWOOD booth drew in larger crowds.
The next Māja trade fair is scheduled for 1-4 April 2027.
