Riga Food 2026 food industry trade fair – the place for fresh perspectives and beneficial deals!

The next Riga Food trade fair, the largest Baltic food industry event that brings together professionals from around the world, will take place on 10-12 September 2026 at the Ķīpsa-la International Expo Centre. Besides a wide range of products and services from interna-tional and national Riga Food 2026 exhibitors, there will be competitions in various cooking and product categories, presentations of latest products, insightful workshops and business networking events.

During the three-day event at Ķīpsala, food industry professionals will be able to discuss latest trends in the sector, deeper cooperation and business development priorities, whereas other visitors will be able to appreciate a great diversity of shows, new product samples and fun ideas for their menu.

Riga Food 2026 trade fair is expected to attract 430 companies from at least 30 countries. They will showcase their latest products to estimated 21 thousand or more visitors.

Latvian Hall
National Hall of the Riga Food is the right place to celebrate food and enjoy diverse cuisine of Latvia. We offer visitors a culinary journey around Latvian regions. Culinary heritage, local products, delicacies and innovations from artisan food makers and seasoned companies in Kurzeme, Vidzeme, Zemgale, Latgale and Riga. Exhibitors of the National Hall will offer traditional staples like bread, cheese, honey and other organic, authentic treats and product innovations.

Networking events
Trade fair will have several business networking events, for example, an international B2B match-making event. Make your schedule of appointments in advance and meet new clients, agents or export-ing partners. This is an efficient way to expand your international business network. Professional visitors will also be able to use the VIP Lounge for individual negotiations and outreach activities.

Diverse events
Numerous events for food industry professionals and foodies on all three days of Riga Food 2026. Vari-ous locations throughout the fair: the Main Stage, GEMOSS stage, several competition areas, Riga Food guestroom and exhibitor stands. Main Stage will primarily host industry-related events: expert discus-sions on trends, product presentations, workshops, master classes and tastings. The official opening of Riga Food 2026 will take place on 10 September at 11:00 on the Main Stage of Riga Food.
Riga Food 2026 sustainable packaging competition, organised by Packaging Association of Latvia and BT1 International Expo Company, will also continue to encourage more companies to choose sustainable packaging.

Competitions for experienced and young chefs, and also pastry chefs
During Riga Food 2026, chefs from all over Latvia will flock to Ķīpsala to show off their culinary skills and try their hand at Best Latvian Chef 2026 and Best Latvian Apprentice Chef 2026 title. Moreover, the Zero Waste Challenge 2026 for teams from Baltic vocational education and training establishments will encourage young chefs to focus on both the taste qualities of food and how to generate as little food waste and food loss as possible.
To promote the pastry chef’s profession and industry, the most talented pastry chefs and cooks will compete for the travelling Lavazza Golden Cup of the Latvian Restaurant Pastry Chef Competition. Meanwhile, Generational Legacy, everyone’s favourite cake competition, will take place on the Gemoss stage.

Riga Food 2025: facts and figures
In its 30th year Riga Food did especially well in delivering diverse programme of events across numerous locations. Three-day event was packed with 103 amazing events, including competitions, championships, performances and master classes, impactful professional discussions, latest product presentations and lovely tasting events.

450 companies from Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Armenia, USA, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Egypt, Cyprus, China, Great Britain, Greece, Georgia, Moldova, the Netherlands, India, Italy, Pakistan, Poland, Romani, Finland, Spain, Slovakia, Turkey, Hungary, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Germany, Sweden, or the total of 30 countries, brought their products and services to Riga Food 2025. With the total of 13 national stands with exhibitors from 10 countries: Albania, Azerbaijan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Italy, Poland, Slovakia, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.

2025 trade fair was visited by 24,421 visitors, of which 27% were from other countries. There were pro-fessional visitors from 35 countries. According to survey, they were mostly looking for additional information, new business leads and specific procurement arrangements. Stockmann, Rimi, Elvi, TOP, LaTS, Depo, Narvesen, Lidl, Maxima, mc², Caffeine were some of the widely represented retail chains from Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Finland and Great Britain.
