The best shashlik masters will be crowned at the fair. You can be one of them!

Do you know how to marinate meat and then grill it till it is finger-licking tasty? You think you can make the best shashlik in the neighbourhood? This is your chance to shine. Join the first Latvian Shashlik Masters’ Championship and you might get to the finals that will take place on 4-5 September during the food industry trade fair Riga Food 2025 in Ķīpsala.

Latvian Shashlik Masters’ Championship organisers – grill expert portal Grils.lv, GrillHouse, Association “Grilētāju brālība/Grill Brotherhood” – invite you to show everyone what you can do against other amateur and seasoned professional grill cooks at the grill championship.

“Review your favourite marinade recipes and join the fight for the title of the best shashlik master in Latvia! Organisers and partners will provide all necessary resources – grills, charcoal and food products. Competitors can bring in their support teams. Supporters are not allowed to help and are there to cheer competitors on. So, see you at the grill,” says one of the competition organisers Pipars, or Rojs Puķe by his real name.

How do I apply?
In July and August, there will be 8 preliminary rounds to select the finalists who will compete at the fair:
1 July, 8 July, 15 July, 22 July,
5 August, 12 August, 19 August, 26 August
Competition start: 18:00
All preliminary rounds will take place at the Grillhouse shop at Sporta iela 2, Riga. To register, send the application form that you can find on www.grils.lv in the section dedicated to Shashlik Master 2025.

Valuable prizes
Best grill cooks from each round will be promoted to the finals that will take place on 4-5 September during the largest Baltic food industry trade fair Riga Food 2025. Winners will be rewarded with some truly valuable prizes, such as grill accessories and tasty food products. And the winner will be crowned the Latvian Shashlik Master of 2025.
