Dive into the Underwater World with Kids Expo Riga 2026!
On 7-8 March, only a week or so away, Ķīpsala International Expo Centre will fill with children’s laughter and chatter as Kids Expo Riga 2026, a festival and trade fair for children and parents, will open its doors to visitors. Underwater World is this year’s theme. Shows, performances, games and meetings with favourite characters will take place on the trade fair’s stage, while Children’s Land is the section where rides, educating games, masterclasses and conversations with rescue service officers will be available. As for the adults, there will be valuable specialist consultations and great deals on kid’s products. So, dive into the adventure!
Magic tricks and bubbles to enjoy
Children will be offered an abundance of entertaining activities on both days of the fair. Stage, decorated as a mysterious underwater world, with bright fish and corals, will become the Mouse Playhouse on 7 March, at 11:00, when two mouse – Peek and Peeca – will engage kids in games and singing, while favourite characters of Tuta’s Things will offer fun interactive games to children on 8 March, at 11:00. There will be incredible magical tricks from illusionist Valdemārs Weiss, soap bubble show, performances from famous children’ s pop bands, circus studio and little dancers. With Ribbit the Frog and Jellyfish “commanding the whole procession”.
Heaps of fun
Neon Disco is the new star of the children’s festival this year. It is a dive into the bright world of neon lights, music and groove! On both days of the fair, children will be able to join one of the 15-minute sessions of Neon Disco at 12:30, 13:30 or 14:30. Or jump and have fun on one of the Activepark’s many adventures, some free and some for money, fit for different ages. Sand Lightboxes creative area will offer a chance to immerse into an unforgettable sensory experience and drown out the festival noise with calm, relaxing underwater sensations. Exhibitors, too, will have various play areas with Legos, carving of wooden statues, racing toy 4x4 cars around speed track, sand sector with heavy construction machinery, and also board games. Children will also appreciate the cotton candy, ice cream, popcorn and many other treats.
Tuta comes to Ķīpsala
Did you know that you can not only fly but also reach Africa by sea? Tuta, the Fox and the Badger have decided to go to Africa to visit Fenecca. But how will Tuta get there? Start your Sunday morning with Tuta and find out! Jump onto the great marine journey on 8 March, at 11:00. There will also be Tuta’s Things stand where children will find all their favourite toys, games, books and other playthings, on both days of Kids Expo. You will also be able to meet the Fox there and take some photos together.
Mouse Playhouse games
If your child loves to sing, dance, and is still growing, Mouse Playhouse is the right place to be! Games that teach little ones vital everyday skills: first words, movements, eating, washing and sleep routines, and many other useful things. So, if mums and dads want to find out how to occupy toddler at home, Mouse Playhouse, and its original songs, finger games and developmental games, will be your guide. Come and join Mouse Peek and Peeca on 7 March, at 11:00, and Mouse Playhouse will teach children new songs. Songs are a collaboration between Pasaku nams Creative Agency and “Māmiņu klubs/Mum Club”. New show is perfect for children under 3.
Get ready for baby fashion show
Underwater World is also the theme of the baby fashion show that will take place on 8 March, at 12:00, at the Ķīpsala Expo Centre. This is your chance, dear parents, to participate and show your best talent for sewing, knitting or crocheting, or designing the costume that will surprise with the unusual use of materials. Enter the competition, let your imagination and talent create stylish combinations, costumes for children based on underwater world theme, and let your little models (aged five and younger) dazzle the spectators with their charm and emotions. Fastest crawler competition
If you have a little, inquisitive crawler in your household, this one is for you. The undoubtedly adorable baby crawling competition will take place on 7 March, at 12:00, parallel to other exciting events taking place in scope of the festival. Registration will start on 7 March at 10:30, closing at 11:45. You can register next to the Underwater World stage. You and your family, friends can cheer for little racer to help them reach the finish line faster.
Meet rescue service officers and get safety advice
Ķīpsala will offer the traditional Safety Quarter, an event that has become very popular with children and parents. Like the other years, it is a pleasant encounter with police, fire fighters, paramedics, electrical safety officers and other special services. Great way to access lots of useful information about protecting yourself and your family against various disasters. Children will be able to climb into service vehicles and special police boat, sit on the quad bike or look inside the enormous fire engine. Fire safety is the subject that they can discuss with SFRS mascot Flamie. They can also meet with Riga Municipal Police mascot, dog Rotto. Little explorers will be able to take a look at rescue gear and accessories that officers use during rescue and disaster operations. Adults will be able to see demonstrations on infant dolls and learn more about first aid to infants in distress.

As children enjoy different fun adventures, parents will have a chance to browse through the trade fair, meet retailers and service providers to learn more about products for babies, toddlers, pre-school and early middle school age children (aged 10 and under), and also expecting mothers. Kids Expo Riga is a festival for kids and parents organised by the BT1 International Expo Company. Events, including baby crawling competition and baby fashion show, are put together by Pasaku nams Creative Agency and Māmiņu klubs.
