LEADING TRADE FAIR ORGANISER IN THE BALTIC STATES

PetExpo 2026: two days in the animal kingdom

On 14-15 March, the Ķīpsala International Expo Centre will become the venue for the Baltic’s largest pet industry trade fair PetExpo 2026. Presenting thousands of dogs, cats and other pets from around the world, trade fair will provide a unique insight into rare species, exciting competitions and true four-legged champions.

More than 3 000 dogs competing for the champion’s title
Over the course of two days, more than 3 000 dogs will compete on 20 different rings to find out who will hold the national and international championship. Participants will represent the total of 12 countries, including Finland, Japan and Portugal. PetExpo 2026 will showcase 237 dog species, including very rare and exotic breeds. Taiwan Dog will probably be the most peculiar of the rare breeds, since Europe only has three registered dogs of this kind, and two of them will come to the trade fair. French bulldog, Labrador and American Staffordshire Terrier are the classes in which rivalry is expected to be specifically fierce as several dozen of dogs  have been registered.

Cat beauty contests and special shows
Cat lovers will be able to see more than 300 furry friends of tens of different species, including the Sacred Cat of Burma, Lykoi and Maine Coon. Cats will compete within their species, age groups and colours, giving visitors an opportunity to appreciate various fur patters, hues and characteristics. PetExpo will have competitions within species and also the Best in Show category for most exceptional kitten, young cats, adult and altered cats. In addition to the competitions, visitors will be able to enjoy various shows, for instance, green-eyed cats or cats with peculiar fur, as a great way to learn more about diversity of breeds.

Exotic birds and field animals
PetExpo 2026 is not centred only around dogs and cats. Visitors will also be amused by exotic birds and field animals. There will be colourful exotic birds like Ara Parrots, Rosellas, Catherine Parakeets and other intelligent birds that will amaze with their magnificence and skills. Current and future parrot owners will also be able to receive useful advice about home care for these birds: how to feed, let socialise and ensure birds have plenty of mental and physical stimulation. Visitors will experience the friendliness of goats, ponies, rabbits. It will also be possible to feed rabbits and goats, as well as finding out more about what they do each day and how to take care of them.
