Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies (LBTU) is a state scientific university located in Jelgava, specializing in life sciences, agriculture, forestry, food technology, veterinary medicine, and engineering, and offering study programs at the bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral levels; its origins date back to 1863, and until 2022 it was known as the Latvia University of Agriculture, while today LBTU focuses on sustainable development, the bioeconomy, and innovation.
