This year, the fair “Māja I 2017”, taking place from 9 to 12 March in Ķīpsala, will give special attention to matters regarding home security with the first Home Security Month in the Baltics being launched during it thanks to the initiative by ADB “Gjensidige” and representatives of the security industry.
The study “Home Security from the Perspective of Latvian Residents” marks a certain trend – people rarely think about the security of their home and are not informed well enough regarding the possibilities of protecting it and actions to take during everyday accidents. This has encouraged ADB “Gjensidige”, organisers of “Māja I”, Latvian rescue services and other representatives and organisations of security-related fields to take initiative and start an unprecedented tradition in the Baltics – Home Security Month, which will henceforth take place every March.
On the first day of the fair, 9 March, initiator of the Home Security Month, ADB ”Gjensidige”, and its supporters – International Exhibition Company BT 1, State Fire and Rescue Service of Latvia, State Police of Latvia, JSC “Latvijas Gāze”, Latvian Red Cross, Latvian Union of Volunteer Firefighter Associations and other representatives of the security field – will sign a special memorandum. Thus, the parties involved will provide increased attention to issues related to home security and will educate and inform the public about them during March of every year.
During the launch of the Home Security Month, which will take place in the Security Area on the balcony of Hall No. 1, results of the study “Home Security from the Perspective of Latvian Residents” carried out by ADB “Gjensidige” and media agency “OMD” will be presented. Representatives of Latvian rescue services will share their opinion on the results of the study, as well as the current situation in home security matters.
During all four days, visitors of “Māja I” – adults, as well as children – are invited to visit the Security Area, where everyone will be able to acquire information and learn about home security in exciting ways, as well as take part in informative seminars and practical activities. The programme of the Security Area will be published on the homepage of the fair in the beginning of March.
It will be possible to spot the “Gjensidige” and “Māja I 2017” sign “For a Safe Home!” at stands of certain participants, which will inform the visitors about the fact that the respective manufacturers are offering products and solutions for improving the security of one’s home. The security sign has been created in order to attract the attention of visitors to solutions that can protect a home and its residents from everyday accidents or even prevent a disaster.
The fair “Māja I” reflects modern-day construction development trends and technology novelties, as well as promotes a direct dialogue between professionals of construction and other related fields with end consumers in the Baltics, as well as Eastern and Western Europe. This year, “Māja I” will be participated by more than 300 enterprises from Latvia, Estonia, Poland, Italy, the Czech Republic, Belarus, Denmark and Belgium. The fair “Māja I” is organised by the International Exhibition Company BT 1. Additional information: www.bt1.lv/maja1/
