Tails and paws from 13 countries at the Latvian Winner show

The pet show "Latvian Winner" showcasing cats and dogs from 13 different countries to be held at Kipsala International Exhibition Centre from 8–9 June. Come and see the heroes of the pet exhibition in beauty contests, exciting demonstrations and other shows!


Vija Klučniece, President of the Latvian Cynological Federation (LKF) and the Latvian Felinology Association “Felimurs”, says “Each exhibition is different. This time in Kipsala there will be a fantastic opportunity to see so many and different cats that are not registered in Latvia, to watch amazing tricks and a variety of demonstrations.”

Golden cats from 13 countries!
There will a very special event for all cat fanciers as, after quite a long time, the World Cat Show and the finals of the prestigious international competition “World Golden Cat 2018” are to take place in Latvia again. This prestigious competition will be attended by the best and most beautiful cats from 13 (!) countries, including Thailand and China.

Visitors will have the opportunity to watch kittens, juniors, adults, spayed and neutered cat, Master, Double Master and Triple Master rings, as well as specialised shows for the British Shorthairs, Highland Folds, Maine Coons, Kurilian Bobtails and Sphynx cats. And last but not least, there will also be the beauty contests for female felines and the Macho shows for male cats, white, forest, rare cat breeds and champions shows.

Popular and rare dog breeds
During the two-day event, 1700 dogs of long- and short-haired, curly and wire-haired, miniature and large, hunting, utility and decorative dog breeds from Latvia and abroad will be competing for the 2019 Latvian Winner title. Apart from such popular breeds as the Labradors, Chihuahua, French Bulldogs and other, the show will feature some rare dog breeds like the Irish Water Spaniel, Black and Tan Coonhound, American Water Spaniel and Markiesje, also known as Dutch Tulip Hound. The latter is very popular in the Netherlands, but is still awaiting the FCI approval.

Apart from competitions in rings, the four-legged friends will also show off their great ingenuity and agility at breed shows.

If you are just looking for a pet, the exhibition will be a great place to explore the diversity of dog and cat breeds, and talk to experienced professionals! We would like to remind that selling puppies and kittens is prohibited during the event.

For your pet’s wellness, health, beauty!
“Latvian Winner 2019” will also offer a large exhibition of zoo industry products and services. Visitors will have an opportunity to purchase everything they need to help their pets have long, healthy and enjoyable lives – pet foods, treats, collars, leashes, clothes, toys and other goods. Moreover, all of those interested will be able to receive professional advice regarding the selection of animal food, as well as tips for improving the health of pets.

To visit the fair with a dog not participating in the fair, you will have to present your dog’s veterinary health certificate and pass a veterinary health check at Gate 11 prior to purchasing the admission ticket.
