About the exhibition
From 57 December 2013, Kipsala International Exhibition Centre will present the International Trade Fair for Woodworking Machinery and Tools "Woodworking. Machinery. Technology. Tools 2013" that will occur simultaneously with the exhibition "Tech Industry - 2013".
Timber industry is one of the largest manufacturing sectors in Latvia that over a decade has grown by an average of 15%, its total turnover exceeding one billion lats last year. This sector has a significant impact on national economic growth and macroeconomic stability; it makes a significant contribution to value added and export growth, and is included among the priority segments of state support.
Latvian timber industry sees increasing export volumes and domestic market development; therefore, companies related to this sector processing enterprises, window, door and furniture, wood-frame building and log-house manufacturers, carpenters, loggers, construction companies, timber distributors and other businesses should increase their competitiveness. Modernisation and improvement of production efficiency, implementation of new technologies, innovative products and new markets are factors of prime importance.
The fair brings together Latvian and foreign companies to demonstrate woodworking and furniture making equipment, log sawing machines, door and window production equipment, professional power tools for woodworking and construction specialists, carpentry equipment, finishing equipment in operation as well as will present variety of materials and technologies. The exhibition will also offer news from European and global equipment manufacturers and Latvian-made equipment and tools.
