“Riga Food is a significant event promoting the food industry annually gathering food industry specialists from all over the world to promote their business, to get insight into topicalities of the food and beverage manufacturing and processing sectors, to get information about the latest technologies and equipment, new packaging solutions, HoReCa novelties, as well as to take part in the food industry business forum and professional competitions.” “Riga Food is an annual show of the food industry development in general; it highlights novelties and gives an opportunity to meet serious and reliable food industry enterprises. The exhibition gathers food industry enterprises, governmental and public organisations, and professional industry associations actively engaged in food manufacturing.” “Riga Food has always been a mirror of Latvian food stores. Products displayed at Riga Food often appeared on the shelves of groceries after the exhibition. Ten years ago, the exhibition attracted more Latvian major manufacturers whose products nowadays form an integral part of the assortment of grocery stores. Perhaps it is the reason why they do not advertise themselves at the exhibition anymore and why the toughest competition takes place on the shelves of grocery stores.
