2nd pavilion “ITALIA” at the 22nd International Fair “Riga Food”

When it comes to food and high level cuisine, Italians are always in!

Following the success of the 1st Italian national pavilion last year, also in this edition the Embassy of Italy has set up a stand of 75 m2 (Hall Nr. 2, D24/E31) with the support of some Italian companies such as “Ferrero” (chocolate), “Barilla” (pasta, sauces), “Sistema Espresso Italiano” Srl (coffee “Buscaglione”), “Vingo” SIA (various foodstuffs and wine) and restaurant “Mamma Pasta”.

Most of these companies have international recognition and are able to promote Italian products as well as culinary traditions outside the national borders, along with other smaller Italian producers that truly represent the richness of the Italian food sector. Therefore the pavilion will definitely illustrate some “jewels” of the Italian food industry.

Many Italian foods are already widely appreciated all over the world, but there are some which have not been fully discovered by the Baltic citizens. The pavilion will therefore offer to the public the possibility of tasting some truly Italian food and meals.

The Ambassador H.E. Mr Sebastiano Fulci explained that among the reasons behind the choice of an active participation in the fair lies the fact that “Riga Food” can be a great springboard for penetration of the Baltic market by Italian companies.

The organization of the pavilion “ITALIA” required a great effort (both, in terms of financing and workload) by the Embassy of Italy, the Italian companies as well as the Latvian distributor of some of the participating companies “Eugesta un Partneri” SIA. The organization of the technical part of the stand is provided by the company “NK Marketing Solutions” SIA and a part of the furnishing - by a cooperation partner “Vincents Inspira” SIA, a representative of famous Italian furniture and accessories producers.

The Italian Deputy Foreign Minister Vincenzo Amendola will be visiting the pavilion “ITALIA” on the opening day. One of the main purposes of his visit to Latvia is to promote the candidacy of the city of Milan for hosting EMA (European Medicines Agency).
