The largest auto tuning show in Eastern Europe “Auto Exotica” displaying the most beautiful tuned and racing cars from Europe and Scandinavia, and ready for the summer season vehicles of local car clubs is awaiting visitors of the “Auto 2019” motor show at Kipsala International Exhibition Centre this weekend, April 12-14. "Auto Exotica" celebrates its 20th anniversary this year!
Heath Garage Hot Rod Circus, attending “Auto Exotica” this year, is one of the world’s best hot rod building companies from Finland that has gained reputation worldwide. In 2016, one of its customised hot rods was sold for $ 140,000 at an auction in Texas. Currently, the best-known project of this family-owned company is the bright green 1930 Ford Model A Steam Punk equipped with a V8 engine and six carburettors.
Considering that Volvo is a Swedish car brand, Swedish tuning is represented at “Auto Exotica” with two unique classic 200-series lowriders - a two-door sedan and orange convertible. Swedish tuning projects on the American classic cars showcased in Riga include the two-door Chevrolet Bel Air 1957 and the 70-year-old Lincoln Continental with a built-in bar.
The Lithuanian V8 Car Club offers a wide representation of various Chevrolet, Cadillac and other American classic cars, and hot rods built using both passenger cars and trucks as base cars.
Lucky Thirteen, an exclusive car sales, restoration and reconstruction company, as always enhances the visitor experience by offering very special cars. This year company exhibits two BMW 8 series vehicles side-by-side - the all-new BMW 8 Series Coupé and the first generation of the BMW 8 Series manufactured in the 1990s ? so the visitors of “Auto Exotica” could see and compare the development of design and technology. The latest modification project presented by Lucky Thirteen is the VW Transporter van with a luxurious limousine style interior.
The most notable of all racing car presented at “Auto Exotica” is the Lamborghini Hurac?n Super Trofeo of the Flash Racing team from Latvia, which will take part in the NEZ 6H Endurance Cup. This racing supercar boasts a 620 hp V10 engine, weighs 1270 kg providing for a 2kg / 1hp weight-to-power ratio.
"Auto Exotica" offers the Baltic premiere of the Baltic Drift Champion Ēriks Ulass’ 900 hp BMW 3 Series (E46) drift car. His car has seen a number of improvements this year - technological innovations and a new composite rear.
Visitors have an opportunity to try out themselves behind the wheel of a powerful car in the RA Events racing simulator featuring the Dirt Rally 2.0. This year, the e-Racing Championship (EGP) is taking place for the first time in Latvia and the winner will have an opportunity to ride along in a real racing car.
Just like last year, “Auto Exotica” takes up the third hall erected for the show in Kipsala. Moreover, in the New Cars hall of “Auto 2019” visitors are welcome to see the latest car models and newest commercial vehicles, while in the "Auto Mechanics" hall stakeholders will have an opportunity to become acquainted with the latest developments in the automotive industry ? from spare parts to industrial machinery.
