25-27 September a special edition of the international motor show Auto 2020 will take place at Ķīpsala International Exhibition Centre. Meanwhile, the participants are getting ready for setting up their exhibition stands, and more and more of them are revealing their cards - news and surprises for the visitors of Auto 2020 Special Edition.
Electrification is the future of mobility. Even the most hardened sceptics no longer deny this. The most noteworthy exhibit in the exposure of the latest Audi models will be the e-tron electric vehicle. It i’s a relatively large SUV that competes on the market with the world’s most popular Tesla Model X. This premium segment electric Audi e-tron is equipped with a 402 horsepower electric motor enabling the electric vehicle to accelerate from zero to 100 km/h within 5.7 seconds and to reach 200 km/h. Moreover, this massive electric vehicle can get a Tesla-worthy 400 kilometres range without recharging its 95 kWh batteries.
The complete opposite of the huge Audi e-tron is the small Zojaz electric car. This two-seater weighs less than 500 kilograms and can reach speeds of up to 80 km/h, which is enough for urban and suburban traffic. There are only two such electric cars in Latvia, but in Europe they are especially in demand in Great Britain, Germany and Poland. It can go up to 150 kilometres on a charge. An electric car like this costs more than five times less than the Audi e-tron.
However, the easiest, most efficient and the cheapest way to get to know the advantages of electric drive, and rapid acceleration in particular, is to go by electric go-kart. Blue Shock Race, a local company that develops, manufactures and offers electric go-karts for rent, will present the news in this area.
