LEADING TRADE FAIR ORGANISER IN THE BALTIC STATES

To Ķīpsala in search of beauty! What is Baltic Beauty offering this year?

Beauty enhances beauty – celebrate beauty at Baltic Beauty 2017 from 3 to 5 November in Ķīpsala! Hairdressers, manicure and spa specialists, makeup artists, and stylists will demonstrate their skills and share their knowledge at competitions and master classes, while companies will present their latest products and services.

This year, more than 336 participants from 14 countries will present various consumer goods, professional beauty products and services at the two fair halls: The World of Beautiful Hair and The World of Beautiful Face and Body. The company expositions, competitions, and master classes will be the perfect opportunities not only to watch masters in action but also to consult with them and improve your knowledge.

Kristīne Čerņavska, the Manager of Baltic Beauty, urges everyone to take advantage of the fair and to meet specialists of various fields: “Each of us has our own beauty formula and specific needs, so I encourage you to soak up the knowledge of the specialists participating in the fair to find out what works best for you. I am glad that the number of professionals visiting Baltic Beauty is growing: this year our lecturers include experts from leading international brands of 15 countries.”

Whereas, Irina Jevsejeva, the Manager of the World of Beautiful Hair section at Baltic Beauty, emphasises the unique nature of the event and likens hairstyles to butterflies that are short-lived: “These three days in Ķīpsala will be an unforgettable journey into the art of hairdressing, where the flight of imagination is supported by impeccable execution! Don’t miss the chance to see the original creations made at the fair!”

Make sure to visit the biggest pop-up hair salon in the Baltics!
On the third day of the fair, on 5 November, from 11:00 until 19:00, The World of Beautiful Hair hall of Baltic Beauty 2017 will host the biggest pop-up hair salon in the Baltics! Every fair visitor will have the chance to get their long-awaited makeover from one of the 50 hair experts. A new haircut, hair colour, hair lamination, or permanent wave – no matter what your wishes are, the Latvian and foreign hairdressers will bring them to life. Appointments can be made in Ķīpsala on the same day of the fair, with the administrator of the Baltic Beauty pop-up hair salon.

What’s new in beauty?
Beauty goes hand in hand with lifestyle. The bustling big-city life is perfect for the novelty called co-washing. Until now, only curly-haired beauties had the privilege of enjoying the benefits of co-washing products, but now Schwarzkopf Professional has released BC Bonacure Micellar Cleansing Conditioner for all hair types. Long story short, this method means you can now wash your hair with conditioner only and no shampoo. Advocates of an active lifestyle will also appreciate procedures for consistently gorgeous lashes. Lami Lashes will introduce you to 3D Filler NANO – a procedure for increasing the volume of your lashes. Estonian gel nail polish brand Mereneid Sari, Italian professional cosmetics brand Dr. Lauranne, and Russian cosmetics brand Ollin will present their products in Latvia for the first time. Another novelty is the especially gentle hair manicure colouring technique, which will be available at the Berryworld exposition. From science to beauty
The road to beauty leads not only through art but also through science. For this reason, the fair will feature five large-scale conferences with the participation of internationally renowned experts. Workmanship is equally important to have on this road – witness it for yourself at various beauty competitions.

The conference for eyelash and eyebrow specialists
The first Baltic Beauty Eyelash and Eyebrow Conference will take place during the fair. Thick and luxurious lashes straight out of 70s movies are still in fashion. But how can you achieve that starlet look if nature hasn’t blessed you with striking lashes or brows? To tell you all about it, Ķīpsala will be visited by nine experienced specialists from the USA, Croatia, Lithuania, Russia, and, of course, Latvia. The event will take place on 5 November in Conference Room No. 1.

The eternal youth formula
The quest for looking good despite our age is never-ending. On the first day of the fair, 3 November, Latvian and foreign cosmetologists and cosmeticians will participate in the conference A Multidisciplinary Approach to Anti-Age Therapy in Cosmetology (Conference Room No. 3) to discuss the role of nutrition in the ageing process, the factors affecting the quality of skin, as well as the effect of posture on our appearance. The conference will also tell of the increasingly popular Thalasso procedure, which uses seawater and sea products and is such a good fit for the Baltic states.

Makeup artists unite
On 4 November in Conference Room No. 1, the Baltic makeup conference From Classics to Art will also experience its debut, which will be visited by internationally renowned specialists – makeup artists from Ukraine and Russia. Among them will be the leading makeup artist in Russia Denis Kartashov, whose creations have adorned the covers of such magazines as Elle, Vogue, and Dolores Magazine and Hairs. Even professionals can get lost in the vast selection, so the conference will offer advice on how to choose the right makeup and how to achieve a stunning visual look with various props.

Traditional and not so traditional spa methods

For tips on how to stay in good shape, visit the annual Baltic Spa Conference on 5 November in Conference Room No. 1. Spas are one of the oldest beauty rituals in the world and also one of the richest in traditions. The spa conference will discuss both several centuries old methods, such as Ayurveda and yoga, as well modern methods: facial chiromassage and sculpting massage.

How does nutrition affect the skin’s health?
There is something behind the saying “You are what you eat”. Which products benefit the skin? How does gluten intolerance affect the skin’s health, and how to fight it? What are the latest developments in acne treatment? To receive answers to these questions, visit the conference The Effect of the Environment and Nutrition on Health and Skin Condition, which will take place on 4 November in Conference Room No. 3.

Beauty gurus unite
Get ready to be enchanted by the most beautiful eyes! On 4 November, Hall II will host the second eyelash and eyebrow championship Baltic Beauty Cup 2017, where specialists will compete for victory in the following categories: eyelash lamination, 2D and 5D volume extensions, classic extensions, and classic eyebrow shaping. You might also spot some very relaxed and healthy-looking visitors, at least on the first and second day of the fair, when Hall II will be hosting a spa championship! It will see the best of the best spa specialists competing in their variety and originality of massage techniques. Another feast for your eyes will be the second Creative Makeup Competition, taking place on 3 November, and the VII Baltic Nail Sculpting and Design Competition, which will last all three days. Find inspiration at the very first stylist competition The Whole World in Your Eyes, which will take place in Hall II on 5 November.
