Children’s safety first!
The Safety Quarter will offer the opportunity to meet policemen, firefighters, electricians, medics and other representatives of special services, who will be teaching about various essentials of safety through games. Spending time in this area will definitely be useful for children, as well as their parents! Employees of emergency medical services (EMS) will provide instructions on giving medical assistance and calling 113 in critical situations in a manner understandable for kids. In turn, the School of Electricity will offer information on safe use of electricity indoors and outdoors – learning how to behave near electrical installations, becoming familiar with warning signs, avoiding electrical traumas and preventing dangerous situations.
On Sunday, 2 April, the EMS exhibition will be awaiting parents-to-be and new parents, in order for them to find out how to provide first aid for babies up to the age of 1! Those interested will not only have the possibility to view the proper execution of revival procedures on a baby mannequin, but also take part themselves. Play and educate in one place!
It will be possible to make candles, play laser-tag, try out magnetic constructors, carry out experiments, play educational games and enjoy many other exciting activities in the Children’s Town. We can reveal that the largest workshop of light tables in the Baltics will also be operating at “Children’s World 2017”. As usual, a lot of fun will be had on the Large Stage – songs and dances will be performed by children from Riga, Mārupe, Jelgava, Jaunjelgava, Ikšķile, Valmiera, Cēsis, Ādaži, Ogre and other cities of Latvia.
