Fashion and textile professionals meet in Kipsala!

The International Textile Industry Fair “Baltic Fashion & Textile Riga 2017” to be held at Kipsala International Exhibition Centre from 30 March –1 April, will present textile and apparel manufacturers and distributors from Europe and Asia showcasing their latest collections.

“Baltic Fashion & Textile Riga 2017” will be attended by companies representing 19 countries: Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Poland, Germany, Italy, Portugal, the Netherlands, Spain, Finland, the Czech Republic, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Nepal, Pakistan, Bangladesh and other countries.

New and unique apparel collections

Participants of "Baltic Fashion & Textile Riga 2017" will bring to Riga new and original apparel collections. just recently in the Baltic market, the Chinese clothing brand "JNBY" will present its charming and youthful Summer 2017 womenswear collection during the fair. MONI Knitting, a Lithuanian company, will offer high quality knitted dresses and cardigans with 3D elements. Cintelli e Galluzzo, a leading Italian textile manufacturer, that has already taken a strong position in the European market, will display exclusive handmade hats.

A varied range of textile manufacturing supplies
The fair will present variety of textile manufacturers – Color Invest (Poland) offering cotton fabrics of different textures and finishes that are extremely popular for high-quality and vibrant colours. Fabric House from Italy will present more than 15,000 different types of fabrics and accept pre-orders on small batch production! Juan Boluda (Spain) will display both modern and classic embroidered high quality cotton and linen fabrics. Visitors will have the unique opportunity to meet Surhonteks, one of the leading textile manufacturer of Uzbekistan.

Products offered include wool for felting, spinning and knitting, including chunky knitting yarn, and metallised sewing threads for decorative seams.

The Dutch company Fur-Textiles, one of the largest manufacturers of fake furs in Europe, will show its fake fur collection for the winter 2017/18.

Juki DDL9000C to be premiered
“Baltic Fashion & Textile Riga 2017” will offer a pan-Baltic premiere of the industrial sewing machine Juki DDL9000C. It is a high-speed straight seam sewing machine with an automatic thread cutting mechanism and digitized interface. Using the control panel or Juki Smart App operating on the Android platform, a seamstress can easily adjust all the necessary settings – feed mechanism, thread tension and other.

Innovation in textile and fashion!
Innovation Stand is an integral part of each trade fair. This is the place to learn more about innovations in the textile and apparel industry of Latvia. Thus, for example, the researchers from the Institute of Electronics and Computer Science will introduce a prototype of smart fabric that can detect a shape of apparel and wearer’s posture. There will also be a number of young designers’ collections showcased – Fly Fly Bowties, Miss Tiik, KIDLINO, Janson, SAZ Shoes and other.

Seminar on fashion business and trends
Business people, designers, fashion and textile design students and lecturers, stylists and all stakeholders are welcome to attend the seminar "Fashion and Design: Fashion Business and Trends" to be held on 30 March. During the seminar, Louise Taccoen, a marketing project manager at Carlin Creative Trend Bureau (France), will tell about the trend drivers for Fall/Winter 2018/19; Anton Dell, a founder and CEO at the Anton Dell Fashion Consultancy (United Kingdom) will speak about the key steps to successful exporting of a fashion brand; Elīza Drāzniece, fashion buying, sales and brand manager (Latvia), will explain how to create a fashion brand and promote it on the market.
