Nature Expo 2016 – for garden, forest and field
Plants, seeds, soil improvers, garden equipment and tools, forest and agricultural machinery, floral design competition, workshops ... and much more awaits you at the International Agriculture, Horticulture and Forestry Fair “Nature Expo 2016” to be held from 22–24 April at Kipsala International Exhibition Centre.
Everything you need for gardening
The fair will offer everything for your garden and flower boxes – a wide selection of fruit trees and shrubs, plants for hedges, conifers and shrubs, flower and grass seeds. Individual plant growers Daila Trubiņa, Alda Sīmane, Juris Strods, the farmsteads “Dzērves”, “Vējiņi”, “Pīlādži” and “Lielrubeņi”, Pūre Horticultural Research Centre (Pūre HRC), the peony garden “Ziedoņi”, the gardening store “Vālodze V”, the Hedera garden Centre and many other participants will offer a vast assortment of plants.
Apart from a variety plants and seeds, “Nature Expo 2016” is the right place to look for soil improvers and plant protection products from such companies as BioDeposit, Greenwalk, Agro-Synt and Matogard, different types of greenhouses from Averto, Plastena and other manufacturers, garden equipment and tools from DM Tehnika, Dojus Latvija, Smart Robby and Modo Golf. The fair will also offer a wide range of garden furniture, indoor plants and floral design supplies. “Nature Expo 2016” will bring together the strong players in the agricultural and forestry sector. Such companies as Dojus Latvija, UOT, IKU Eduards and other will present forestry and agricultural machinery. The JSC Latvian State Forests will inform visitors on a modern forest management cycle, products and services for forest owners and forestry companies. The students of Ogre State Technical College will make wooden sculptures using chainsaws in front of the spectators! Seminars on protection against pests and diseases
The State Plant Protection Service offers two seminars for professional horticulturists and those, who has a small backyard garden. 22 April a seminar on ’Plant quarantine organisms and plant passports" that will provide helpful information on how not to make mistakes buying plants, – about hazardous organisms, plants that need passports and what information must be included there. On 22 April, the seminar "Saboteurs in our gardens” will tell about information sources on the most common garden pests, why soil analysis is so indispensable and how to reduce the use of plant protection products replacing them with alternative methods. Latvian Open Floral Design Competition "Breath of Spring"
For the first time "Nature Expo" offers the Latvian Open Floral Design Competition “Breath of Spring” to be held on during 22 and 23 April. Visitors will have a unique opportunity to watch the competition! The first competition day is dedicated to children, while the second – for floral designers in the adult category. All those who love flowers are welcome to see the floristry exhibition "The Spring Sun" and vote for the best floral composition. Come to the fair with the whole family!
Do not leave your children at home, take them to the fair! “Nature Expo 2016” will not only offer everything you need for gardening, but will also give an opportunity to see alpacas, rabbits and other small animals. Annels inflatable attractions for tiniest visitors are free of charge! While children are having a good time, parents will have an opportunity to visit the exposition of environmental objects – sculptures, garden furniture, decorations and more. Moreover, visitors are invited to stop at the artisan and home manufacturers booths to buy something beautiful or dainty – the best of the nature!
