Preparations for the 10th Anniversary Environment and Energy Fair Under Way!

Energy efficiency, renewable energy resources, efficient use of biological wastewater treatment plants, environmentally friendly transport ... - learn about it all and much, much more in the 10th anniversary edition of the Baltics’ largest tradeshow for energy, infrastructure and environmental technology Environment and Energy 2014 to be held from 16–19 October at Kipsala International Exhibition Centre.

"Environment and Energy has become a very important business and information platform in the Baltic region over a decade. The number of participating companies and visitors has doubled over the years thus showing the necessity and importance of this fair. The participants are already actively working on new and attractive offers to be presented to the visitors of the anniversary show," the project manager Gints Šāvējs told.

Solutions for business and households
The power industry's leading companies this year will offer to the widest audience the latest in energy-efficient heating and insulation technologies, eco-friendly heating solutions, ventilation and conditioning systems, wastewater treatment technologies and solutions for broad circles of customers – from large companies and local governments to small and medium-sized businesses and attractive offers for households.

More than 60 companies have already applied for participation in Environment and Energy 2014 among them such well known companies as Grandeg, Robert Bosch, UPB Energy, August Latvia, Vides tehnika, Bek-Konsult, Witraktor and others. Among them, there are Green Technology Cluster and Kurzeme Business Incubator representing a cooperation network of businesses, research, education and other institutions and offering the latest solutions for ecological transport, innovative solutions for green energy efficiency. Young people are welcome to attend a green energy generation workshop.

The tradeshow will also present the national collective stands of the Czech Republic, Sweden and Canada; visitors are welcome to get acquainted with their extensive offer of modern technologies. Environment and Energy 2014 will also introduce a number of new participants from Latvia, Finland, Belarus, Lithuania and other countries, for example, JSC Rīgas siltums and PJ Automation that offers LED lighting solutions from the Finnish and German manufacturers.

Extensive conference and seminar program
To enhance society and experts’ awareness about the latest industry developments and innovations, Riga Energy Agency and the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development offers an extensive multi-day programme of seminars and conferences. Industry experts, environmentalists and local government representatives will discuss such topical issues as hydrogen technology for power generation and energy supply and efficient integration and support for sustainable smart solutions. Although preparations for the fair are under way and most of the exhibition space is already booked up, businesses can still sign up for the fair. Last year’s fair gathered 114 participants from 13 countries – 87 Latvian and 27 foreign companies (Belarus, Belgium, Czech Republic, Italy, Ireland, Canada, the UK, Germany, Sweden, Poland, Lithuania and Estonia) and 24,749 professionals and general visitors from Latvia and other countries.

Environment and Energy 2014 is held by the International Exhibition Company BT 1 in conjoint with Riga Energy Agency and the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development.
