Find out the latest developments in the medical sector this week at Medbaltica 2023!

The cutting edge medical technologies and innovative materials, medical uniforms, medical cosmetics, products for immunity and hygiene – all this will be on display at Medbaltica 2023 at Ķīpsala International Exhibition Centre on 21 and 22 September. Alongside the exhibition, 16 professional events – conferences and seminars – will be held as well.


"For two days, medical professionals will gather at Ķīpsala International Exhibition Centre to meet, share their experience and discuss the latest developments in the sector with their Latvian and foreign colleagues, meanwhile companies will demonstrate the latest technologies, products, materials and services. The exhibition will also be valuable for the stakeholders interested in rehabilitation or health issues," Inga Kanasta-Zabarovska, the project manager of Medbaltica says.
More than 130 companies from 11 countries including Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, China, Italy, Romania, Hungary, Germany and Sweden will present the latest developments in dentistry, surgery, orthopaedics, rehabilitation, ophthalmology and pharmacy. National joint-stands from the Czechia and Ukraine will also be on display. Conference participants and visitors of the conference will be able to learn about the latest products and technologies in medicine, as well as receive professional advice and the best price offers.

The latest technologies, equipment, materials and services for dental clinics and other medical institutions will be offered by Aiko Med, Altex, Arbor Medical Korporācija, Beka Baltic, Doma, Elanus Medical Latvia, Kmik, Recipe Plus, Vlata, Vilnijus from Lithuania, Ego Zlin from Czechia and many others.

For rehabilitation and patient care
The rehabilitation section will be well represented, with companies demonstrating unique equipment for rehabilitation and physiotherapy. Some of them are listed here! Lithuanian company Vildoma has developed a unique "EIK" exercise machine that enables ergonomically safe lifting of people from a seated to a standing position, and focuses on safe balance and coordinated body movements. Furthermore, this only requires one healthcare worker! At Fysioline Latvija, the visitors will be able to try out the new Hocoma Armeo Spring Pro exoskeleton and Axinesis Reaplan hand-held robotics equipment. Meanwhile, Arbor Medical Corporation will demonstrate a unique assistive communication device, Tobii Dynavox. It can be controlled with just a glance or a touch, so you can express your needs with symbols or generated speech, as well as use the internet, turn on lights or TV. Visitors to the Elanus Medical Latvia stand will be able to try out the new ergonomic healthcare breakthrough, Ergotrics – patient positioning equipment with compressed air, and Teida – technical aids for shower procedures and burn treatment from TR EQUIPMENT.

For preventive health and work
The exhibition will not only include medical technologies, equipment and materials, but also products useful for everyone – preventive care products, oral hygiene products, food supplements, medical cosmetics, compression products, and orthopaedic products. Furthermore, they will be available at attractive exhibition prices!

Ortoadaptic will present the Novavita abdominal support compression orthosis for overweight people designed to improve their daily activities. Meanwhile, Lauma Medical will present elastic bandages, belts, joint dressings, compression products, as well as new products – posture correctors and splints. The wide range of medical elastic products offered by Tonus Elast include the new, brightly coloured compression products of the Active series for athletes.

Riga Pharmaceutical Factory will offer tastings of new vitamin shots created in Latvia for beauty, immunity and energy, while Panacea Pro will present the first officially registered postbiotic product in Latvia, Fitotal, designed to restore and strengthen the gut microbiota.

Ukrainian companies at the fair
Several Ukrainian companies will also participate in Medbaltica with the support of the International Exhibition Company BT 1. Ukrtekhmed and UKRTECHMED Innovation Co will present innovative hydrogel dressings and suture materials, Technocomplex will present disposable medical garments, and 3D Metal Tech will offer craniofacial and orthopaedic implants to order.

Conferences and seminars for professionals
Professional conferences and seminars are an important part of Medbaltica, therefore this year, medical professionals will have the opportunity to learn about the latest news and discuss topical issues at 16 conferences and seminars as well.

On 21 and 22 September, the interdisciplinary conferences of the Latvian Medical Association and the Latvian Dental Association will take place in Ķīpsala. The Latvian Healthcare Employers’ Association, the Latvian Dental Hygienists Association, the Latvian Association of Gynaecologists and Obstetricians, the Latvian Nurses Association and the Latvian Association of Physicians Rehabilitologists will invite visitors to the conferences on 21 September. Also, on the first day of the fair, the first conference of the Rural Family Doctors Association of Latvia, Contemporary challenges in primary health care – sex, addictions, unclear deaths, will take place. We are looking for answers! As well as a lecture by Remedine and the Red Cross on the use of automatic defibrillators in public spaces, as well as a seminar for dentists by Altex will be held. Meanwhile, on 22 September, the Pharmacists’ Society of Latvia, the Latvian Association of Diet and Nutrition Specialists, the Latvian Dental Assistants Association and the Latvian Physiotherapists’ Association will invite visitors to their conferences.
